Our today's crunch issue is climate change and global warming.Global warming mean rising average temperature of earth's atmosphere and oceans and its related effects.Due to global warming their is a change in earth's climate.
Climate change and global warming is increasing day by day.Global warming occurs due to green house effect.The greenhouse effect is the process by which absorption and emission of infrared radiation by gases in the atmosphere warm a planet's lower atmosphere and surface.Green house effect was proposed by Joseph Fourier in 1824.It was first investigated quantitatively by Svante Arrhenius in 1896.One of biggest responsible for global warming is men itself.Due to heavy industrialization in most of the countries increased the threat of global warming.And which is increasing day by day due to increase in industries.But most of the share in global warming is of well developed countries.The gases emitted by factories and industries the major proportion of which are carbon dioxide,methane,nitrous oxide and CFCs e.t.c has also increased the global warming.These gases are also called green house gases.Naturally occurring amounts of greenhouse gases have a mean warming effect of about 33 °C (59 °F). The major greenhouse gases are water vapor, which causes about 36–70 percent of the greenhouse effect; carbon dioxide (CO2), which causes 9–26 percent; methane (CH4), which causes 4–9 percent; and ozone (O3), which causes 3–7 percent.Clouds also affect the radiation balance through cloud forcings similar to greenhouse gases.
Human activity since the Industrial Revolution has increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, leading to increased radiative forcing from CO2, methane, tropospheric ozone, CFCs and nitrous oxide. The concentrations of CO2 and methane have increased by 36% and 148% respectively since 1750.Because these gases creates green house effects.Due to emission of these gases ozone layer which is a protective layer around the earth has been damaged.Ozone layer protect our earth from harmful radiation coming from the sun.Increase in the use of fossil fuels has also increase the global warming.because fossil fuels contains a large proportion of carbon dioxide.Due to increase in the demand of wood.Deforestation had been occur on a large scale thus increasing the global warming.These are the main causes of global warming.
Climate change and global warming are very closely related.Because global warming produces climate changes.Due to global warming climate is changing.Earth's average surface temprature increased by about 0.8°C (1.4 °F).About which two third increase in last three decades.Due to increase in earth's temperature the ice caps and glaciers are melting and thus increasing the sea level.Increase in sea level will change the amount and pattern of precipitation, and a probable expansion of subtropical deserts.Climate model projections are summarized in the 2007 Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). They indicate that during the 21st century the global surface temperature is likely to rise a further 1.5 to 1.9 °C (2.7 to 3.4 °F) for their lowest emissions scenario and 3.4 to 6.1 °C (6.1 to 11 °F) for their highest.The ranges of these estimates arise from the use of models with differing sensitivity to greenhouse gas concentrations.Naturally occurring amounts of greenhouse gases have a mean warming effect of about 33 °C (59 °F).Global warming also increase the natural disasters e.g:earthquakes,floods and other natural disasters.Due to climate changes and global warming many diseases have increased.Skin cancer has increased a lot all around the earth due to damaging of ozone layer.
If important steps are not taken to stop climate change and global warming earth is going to be hell.there will be more natural disasters like heavy earthquakes,floods and shortage of food.Not only human but animals and plants are also effected by global warming.which runs the economic cycle.If we continue the consumption of green house gases with the same rate than we are going to pay heavily for it in the form of increasing natural disasters.
